Cayla Kass is originally from Branchburg, NJ. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from The Ohio State University. Her practice interests include solid organ transplant and infectious diseases. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kass serves on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Formulary Evaluation Team and is working to complete the Teaching and Learning Certificate Program. This year, her research will evaluate the incidence of de novo donor specific antibody production in kidney transplant recipients on tacrolimus versus belatacept-based immunosuppression regimens. Upon completion of her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue a second year of residency training in one of her clinical interest areas. In the future, Dr. Kass hopes to obtain board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can be involved in clinical and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys seeing and performing in theater and exploring new cities!
