Emma Erner is originally from Cedar Rapids, IA. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 2023. Her practice interests include oncology, infectious diseases, and ambulatory care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Erner serves on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Formulary Evaluation Team and is completing the Teaching and Learning Certificate Program. This year, her research will evaluate the efficacy, tolerance, and toxicity with dose escalation of abemaciclib versus standard dosing. Upon completion of her PGY1 pharmacy residency, she plans to pursue a second year of residency training in one of her interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain specialty board certification and practice at an academic medical center with a faculty position at an associated college of pharmacy. Outside of pharmacy she enjoys baking, spending time outside, pursuing her love of directing show choir, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes!
