Current Residents

Lyric Chaplin is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Clemson University. Dr. Chaplin received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at The Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in the Ambulatory Care Setting at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. NC. Her current practice interests include primary care, heart failure, infectious diseases and pulmonary diseases. In addition to her clinic responsibilities, Dr. Chaplin serves on the Primary Care Formulary Evaluation Team as well as leading the weekly ambulatory care seminar series for IPPE students throughout the year. Her research project this year will investigate the impact of different intervention models to decrease no-show rates for patients scheduled for embedded pharmacy visits. After completing residency, Dr. Chaplin plans to obtain board certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy and hopes to practice in an outpatient clinic setting ambulatory and hold roles in leadership and teaching. Outside of residency, Dr. Chaplin enjoys rooftops/restaurants, baking and reading new books.
