Julia Lessing is originally from Blairstown, NJ, but moved to Key West, FL for high school. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from The University of Florida, and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Hospital. Her clinical practice interests include anticoagulation, antimicrobial stewardship, and hemodynamics. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Lessing serves on the ICU/Anesthesia Formulary Evaluation Team. This year, her research will evaluate the impact of 25% albumin on vasopressor requirements in intensive care unit patients receiving continuous renal replacement therapy. Upon completion of her PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency, Dr. Lessing plans to pursue specialty board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can be involved in clinical, teaching, and leadership opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling and cooking!
