Alexa Kupper is originally from Richmond, Virginia and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kupper serves on the Oncology Formulary Evaluation Committee. This year, her research is looking at the Assessment of risk factors, monitoring strategies, incidence, and management of interstitial lung disease (ILD) associated with trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) in breast cancer patients with brain metastases. Upon completion of her PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty board certification and obtain an oncology clinical pharmacist position at an academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, teaching, and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys exploring new coffee shops, going on walks, and spending time with family and friends!
