Holly Westerkamp is originally from Palatine, Illinois. Holly received both her Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Butler University. Dr. Westerkamp completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Her practice interests include toxicology, anticoagulation and reversal strategies, infectious disease, and shock states. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Westerkamp serves on the ICU/Anesthesia Formulary Evaluation Team. This year, her research is looking at the impacts of educational intervention on management of asymptomatic bacteriuria in the emergency department. Upon completion of her PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue emergency medicine board certification and obtain an emergency medicine position at an academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys watching Chicago Cubs baseball, cheering on Butler University basketball, listening to audiobooks, and exploring the Durham area!
