Krishna Shah is originally from Columbia, SC. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wofford College and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She also received her Master of Business Administration degree through The Citadel. While completing her two-year residency, she will complete her Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a focus on Health-System Pharmacy Administration through the University of North Carolina. Her clinical practice interests include cardiology and critical care, while her administrative interests include clinical management, transitions of care, and population health. In addition to her rotation responsibilities, Dr. Shah serves on the Children's Formulary Evaluation Team, as Chief Resident, and as Chair of the Formulary and Informatics Subcommittee. She is also involved nationally as a member of the HSPAL Student and Resident Engagement Workgroup for ASHP’s Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents’ Collaborative. This year, her research will evaluate the impact of a Medications to Bedside service on readmission rates.  In the future, Dr. Shah plans to attain a pharmacy leadership position that allows her to maintain a clinical presence and drive transformative changes within the healthcare system.
