Nataliya Shamanska is originally from Ternopil, Ukraine. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at Chapel Hill. While completing her two-year residency, she will also complete a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Health-System Pharmacy Administration through the University of North Carolina. Her clinical practice interests include oncology and cardiology, and her administrative interests include clinical management, informatics, finance and budgeting. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Shamanska serves on the Internal and Specialty Medicine Formulary Evaluation Team and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. Her research will evaluate IVIG dose escalation and admissions for Myasthenia Gravis patients for earlier initiation of rovulizumab-cwvz, and her capstone project will evaluate the use of Artificial Intelligence to support comprehensive medication management. In the future, Dr. Shamanska wishes to attain a pharmacy leadership position that will allow her to contribute to the development of innovative strategies in pharmacy practice and advance the field through both clinical excellence and strategic oversight.
