Paul Chan is from Saline, MI. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2024 and completed his PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Hospital. His practice interests include general acute care cardiology and heart failure. Dr. Chan serves on the Cardiology Formulary Evaluation Team and is conducting research on the incidence of bleeding and thrombosis following antithrombotic therapy reduction in HeartMate 3 left ventricular assist device patients. Upon completion of his PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency, he plans to pursue a specialty board certification and obtain a cardiology position at an academic medical center where he can pursue clinical, precepting, and teaching opportunities. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, golfing, cooking, and attending Durham Bulls baseball games!
