Abbey Carr is originally from Robbins, TN. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2024. Her practice interests include hematology/oncology, pediatrics, and pain management and palliative care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Carr serves on the Children's P&T Committee and Recruitment Committee at Duke University Hospital and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. Her research will evaluate uncovering gender and age differences in EGFR and ALK-inhibitor toxicity management. Upon completion of PGY1 pharmacy residency, she plans to pursue a PGY2 pharmacy residency in one of her clinical interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can pursue clinical and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with her husband and mini goldendoodle, reading, going on walks, and cheering on the UK Wildcats!
