Abbey Carr is originally from Robbins, TN. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy in 2024. She completed her PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Hospital. Her practice interests include thoracic oncology, gene therapies, and pain management and palliative care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Carr serves on the Oncology Formulary Evaluation Team. Her research will evaluate blinatumomab consolidation tolerance in older adults with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) in remission, stratified by age groups 40–64 years and ≥65 years. Upon completion of PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty board certification and obtain an oncology position at an academic medical center where she can further pursue research, teaching, and precepting opportunities.  Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with her husband and mini goldendoodle, reading, going on walks, and cheering on the UK Wildcats!
