Overview of Oncology Investigational Drug Service

The Department of Pharmacy Oncology Investigational Drug Service (ONC IDS) supports human clinical research involving investigational products (IP) for Investigator-Initiated, Sponsor, and Government funded studies. The ONC IDS Pharmacy integrates its activities with clinical, safety, informatics, administrative and drug distribution systems throughout Duke University Health System (DUHS) to optimize drug therapy and support the safety and care for oncology participants in both the inpatient and outpatient care settings.

Do you need to schedule a monitoring visit appointment?

Appointments are needed for all monitoring visits – due to the large number of requests, there is a 14-day lead time for all appointments. Pharmacy monitoring visits are only permitted as early as every 60 days for the same study.
