Study Team Information

ONC IDS has processes in place to ensure that investigational products are managed safely, accurately, and effectively, and that all pharmacy records are available for review by sponsors and auditors.
  • ONC IDS works alongside research colleagues across many disease group teams to coordinate participant care.
  • Participant visits are scheduled by the research teams and are visible on the ONC IDS daily report.
  • If a study visit requires interactive response technology (IRT), the study team will register the participant visit and notify ONC IDS pharmacy of any necessary item numbers for the dispense.
  • Orders are filled by the ONC IDS pharmacy after a clinical review by an ONC IDS pharmacist.
  • Orders that are picked up by the research teams in the pharmacy must complete a chain of custody.
  • Orders that are prepared in the pharmacy and sent to the Oncology Treatment Center do not require a chain of custody to be completed.
  • Drug dispensation and preparation for participants seen at satellite sites will be completed by site pharmacy staff.
  • Please review the Oncology Investigational Drug Service Hours and Order Verification/Preparation Overview document for additional information.

Use the link below to schedule monitoring visits. Please be aware that all type of visits for ONC IDS are remote only. To accommodate all type of visits and department staffing, there is a 14-day lead time for all visits. Visits with pharmacy are only permitted as early as every 60 days for the same study.
