Amira Sarder is originally from Cary, North Carolina. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2025 and completed her PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Residency at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. Her practice interests include advanced heart failure and general acute care cardiology. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Sarder serves on the Cardiometabolic Formulary Evaluation Team, DUHS Pharmacy Anticoagulation Council, and Heart Services CPAC. Her research will examine outcomes associated with intravenous iron use in HeartMate 3 left ventricular assist device patients. Upon completion of her PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue a specialty board certification and obtain a cardiology position at an academic medical center where she can pursue clinical, precepting, and teaching opportunities. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new restaurants and coffee shops, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places!
