Brandon Cashwell is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2025. Dr. Cashwell completed his PGY1 pharmacy residency training at the University of Kentucky HealthCare in Lexington, Kentucky. His practice interests include neurology, primary care, and endocrinology. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Cashwell serves on the Internal and Specialty Medicine Formulary Evaluation Team at Duke University Hospital. His research will evaluate the utilization of GLP-1 receptor agonists in rheumatic disease. Upon completion of PGY2 pharmacy residency, he plans to pursue an outpatient neurology pharmacist position hoping to care for patients with movement, epilepsy, and memory disorders. In the future, he hopes to obtain board certification and have joint appointment with a school of pharmacy to continue working with pharmacy and medical learners. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys hiking, traveling (especially to national parks), sports, and anything UNC or Carolina Hurricanes!
