Cassidy Kurita is originally from Houston, TX. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in Chapel Hill in 2026. Her practice interests include pediatrics, emergency medicine, and critical care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Kurita serves on the Children’s P&T Committee and Recruitment Committee at Duke University Hospital and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. Her research will assess the safety of IV push administration of high doses of lacosamide. Upon completion of PGY1 pharmacy residency, she plans to pursue a second year of residency in one of her clinical interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can continue to engage in clinical, research, and precepting/teaching opportunities while advocating for patients and the profession. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family (and her two cats!)
