Elana is originally from Portland, OR. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Purdue University College of Pharmacy in 2025. Her practice interests include pediatrics and critical care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Chuaprasert serves on the Children's P&T Committee and Recruitment Committee at Duke University Hospital and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. Her research will evaluate clinical outcomes in lung transplant recipients on apixaban compared to apixaban with concomitant posaconazole. Upon completion of PGY1 pharmacy residency, she plans to pursue a PGY2 pharmacy residency in one of her clinical interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can pursue clinical, research, precepting, and leadership opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys playing volleyball, being outdoors, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Boilermakers!
