Francheska is originally from Clarksville, Tennessee. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2025. Her practice interests include critical care, infectious diseases and cardiology. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Rivera serves on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Formulary Evaluation Team at Duke University Hospital and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. Her research will evaluate clinical outcomes of P2Y12i interruption post left ventricular assist device implementation in patients with drug eluting stents. Upon completion of PGY1 pharmacy residency, she plans to pursue a second year of residency in one of her clinical interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys working out, cooking, traveling, and going to stand-up comedy shows!
