Jennifer (Jenn) Garson was born and raised in Madison, WI. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. While completing her two-year residency, she will also complete her Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Health-System Pharmacy Administration through the University of North Carolina. Her clinical practice interests include oncology and cardiology, while her administrative interests include clinical management, transitions of care, and population/global health. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Garson serves on the Neurology Formulary Evaluation Team and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. She is also involved nationally as the Vice Chair of the HSPAL Resident Resources Workgroup for ASHP's Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Resident Collaborative. This year, her research will evaluate the outcomes of 7+3+gemtuzumab ozogamicin once per cycle in induction therapy for patients with favorable-risk acute myeloid leukemia. In the future, Dr. Garson plans to attain a pharmacy leadership position that allows her to maintain connection to clinical practice and improve transitions of care within health systems.
