Katarina Eckstein-Schoemann is originally from Lake Mary, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology and Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Florida. Her practice interests include oncology and solid organ transplant. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Eckstein-Schoemann serves on the Oncology Formulary Evaluation Team and is participating in the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. This year, her research will be evaluating blinatumomab vs inotuzumab in B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia First Relapse. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Dr. Eckstein-Schoemann is interested in pursuing a PGY2 residency in one of her interest areas. In the future, she hopes to obtain board certification and practice at a large academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, and teaching opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys exploring local farmers markets, going to concerts, working out at Orangetheory, and cheering on the Florida Gators!
