Olivia Hanna is originally from Montréal, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology from McGill University before moving to the United States to pursue a career in pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. Her practice interests include critical care and emergency medicine. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hanna serves on the Anesthesia/Critical Care Formulary Evaluation Team and is completing the Teaching and Precepting Certificate Program. This year, her research will evaluate risk factors for subtherapeutic posaconazole levels in the Intensive Care Unit. Upon completion of her PGY1 residency, Dr. Hanna plans to pursue a PGY2 in one of her areas of interest while engaging in clinical research and precepting students and residents. Long term, she aspires to serve in a leadership role where she can help shape policy, mentor future leaders, and propel the profession of pharmacy forward. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and exploring new restaurants and cafes.
