Sara Nezirevic is originally from Des Moines, Iowa. She completed her pre-pharmacy studies at the University of Iowa and dual Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Public Health degree at the University of Iowa. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her practice interests include solid tumor malignancies, bone marrow transplant, infectious diseases, and supportive care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Nezirevic serves on the oncology formulary evaluation team. This year, she will be conducting research on the efficacy and safety of sequential antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) in human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2) negative metastatic breast cancer. Upon completion of her PGY2 oncology pharmacy residency, Dr. Nezirevic plans to obtain her oncology board certification and establish clinical practice at an NCI-designated cancer center with the opportunity to contribute to innovative research, and precept students and residents. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago sports teams, exploring new restaurants, and trips to Trader Joes.
