Kaylee Whitenack is originally from just outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Kaylee received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Mayo Clinic Hospital. Her practice interests include management of pain and sedation, infectious diseases, hemodynamics, and pharmacokinetics in the critically ill. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Whitenack serves on the ICU/Anesthesia Formulary Evaluation Team. This year, her research is evaluating differences in clinical outcomes in patients receiving hydrocortisone four-times daily versus twice-daily for septic shock. Upon completion of her PGY2 Critical Care Residency, she plans to pursue specialty board certification and obtain an ICU position at an academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, and teaching opportunities. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys trying new restaurants, watching her brothers' golf tournaments, and going on hikes or walks. Go wildcats!
