Jessi Shelton, PharmD

PGY2 Internal Medicine Pharmacy Resident
Jessi Shelton is originally from Tampa, FL. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Florida and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Shelton completed her PGY -1 at UF Health Jacksonville where she also received her teaching certificate. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Shelton serves on the Internal & Specialty Medicine Formulary Evaluation Team and Medication Reconciliation Task Force. This year, her research will evaluate inpatient euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis in the setting of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor (SGLT2i) use. In the future, Dr. Shelton hopes to obtain board certification and practice at an academic medical center where she can be involved in clinical and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys working out, plants, and exploring new places with her dog, Mango!
