Current Residents

Ashwin Satpute is originally from Seattle, WA. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Anthropology from Western Washington University and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Washington State University College of Pharmacy. His practice interests include formulary management, medical information, and health economics and outcomes research. Dr. Satpute serves on the Primary Care and Neurosciences Formulary Evaluation Teams and is working towards earning his Teaching and Learning Certificate. He is also working with the medical information team at GlaxoSmithKline, on the launch of a new anti-infective medication. This year, his research will evaluate the impact of using bupivacaine-meloxicam extended-release compared to bupivacaine liposomal injection intraoperatively, on postoperative pain and opioid consumption. Upon completion of his specialty Drug and Medical Information Residency, Dr. Satpute plans to pursue a role that allows him to collaborate with peers and other healthcare professionals to pioneer impactful health outcomes for patients. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys traveling, shopping, watching sports, exploring new restaurants and long walks on the beach!
