Ashton Coker is originally from Charleston, South Carolina. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in 2024 and completed her PGY1 Acute Care Pharmacy Residency at MUSC Health. Her practice interests include toxicology and neurological emergencies. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Coker serves on the Anesthesia/Critical Care Formulary Evaluation Team. Her research will evaluate the impact of prescribing feedback on the rate of treatment for asymptomatic bacteriuria in the emergency department. Upon completion of her PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency, she plans to pursue specialty board certification and obtain an emergency medicine position at an academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, and teaching opportunities. Outside of work, she enjoys building LEGOs, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
