Emily LaMonte, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Resident
Emily LaMonte is originally from Greenfield, Wisconsin. Emily received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and her Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. LaMonte completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Hospital. Her practice interests include cardiac critical care, electrophysiology, heart failure, and acute coronary syndromes. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. LaMonte serves on the Cardiology Formulary Evaluation Team. This year, her research is looking at the Validation of the IV Iron Infusion Protocol in Duke Cardiology Outpatient Clinics. Upon completion of her PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency, she plans to pursue specialty board certification and obtain a cardiology position at an academic medical center where she can further pursue clinical, research, teaching, and precepting opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and breweries/wineries, playing sports (volleyball, softball, and golf), going on walks, talking with family and friends, and cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers!
