Casey Cummings is originally from Tega Cay, South Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Clemson University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Her practice interests include pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, and emergency medicine. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Cummings serves on the Children's Formulary Evaluation Team. This year, her research will evaluate aminophylline safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics for acute asthma in the PICU. Upon completion of her PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency, she plans to earn pediatric pharmacy board certification and practice as a pediatric clinical pharmacist at an academic medical center where she can specialize in critical care. Outside of residency, she enjoys Clemson football, lounging outdoors, watching movies, cooking, and exploring new restaurants and wineries!
