Kevin Rhash, Pharm.D.

Cardiology Pharmacy Resident
Kevin Rhash is originally from Arden, North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and his Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Rhash completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Hospital. His practice interests include acute decompensated heart failure, chronic heart failure, electrophysiology and cardiac critical care. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Rhash serves on the Cardiology Formulary Evaluation Team. This year, his research will evaluate the safety and efficacy of high-dose epoetin alfa in patients awaiting heart transplant on mechanical circulatory support. Upon completion of his PGY2 Cardiology Pharmacy Residency, he plans to pursue specialty board certification and obtain a cardiology position at an academic medical center where he can further pursue clinical, research, and teaching opportunities. Outside of pharmacy, he enjoys hiking, watching UNC basketball, and golfing!
